Advanced Battery Care Limited has been providing products and services related to standby battery systems since the 1st of November 1994.
David Fremlin, Managing Director, has worked in the critical power industry since 1970. With experience in engineering, quality management, sales and marketing gained over 25 years he formed ABC with the aim of improving the service available to users of Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) standby battery systems.
The company has a network of engineers located across the UK and is currently expanding activities to operate throughout Europe. The operation is coordinated from HQ at Ramsbury in Wiltshire.
By continuously focusing on quality, customer service and the use of the most up to date, but proven, technology, Advanced Battery Care Ltd has achieved an enviable reputation in the industry.

We will continue to offer the most technically advanced and effective battery management products and services and progress to being the leading brand in the field of standby battery maintenance and monitoring.
Improving the reliability of standby power
There should be no doubt that expensive and critical battery systems need expert maintenance regimes with a level of sophistication which, we believe; only we can provide.
The ever increasing financial cost of battery systems combined with the ever decreasing reliability of the utility electrical power supply will considerably increase the value of effective battery management. Our aim is to inform our target audience of regimes which achieve both greater reliability and improved longevity.
We must educate all those involved with the provision and use of standby power of the real advantages of investing in battery management and the contribution this will make to increased availability of business systems whilst reducing costs. Target audiences for this information include Datacentre Management, Facilities Management, Consultants and UPS manufacturers.
Products and Services
ABC provides a complete management service for standby battery systems used to support critical business equipment such as computers, telecommunications and emergency lighting in times of utility power disturbance or failure. All or any of the following products are available to our customers:
Supply, delivery and installation of standby battery systems.
Able to source batteries from a number of quality assured suppliers, ABC can source the appropriate battery system for the application, including racks, cabinets, fused isolating transition boxes and cabling where required. Batteries can be delivered to site, installed and connected to the charger and critical load.
Removal and disposal of scrap
Registered with the Environment Agency as a Broker and Carrier of Hazardous Waste, ABC is able to remove scrap battery systems from site and provide the required Environment Agency Consignment Notes.
Maintenance Services
ABC provides fully trained engineers to test and complete routine maintenance visits at approximately 2,000 sites across the UK, including Northern Ireland, each year.

Sophisticated 24/7 monitoring
As the European representative of Powershield Ltd, New Zealand, our Powershield Europe Division supplies and installs the leading “Sentinel” battery monitoring system. With installations worldwide this proven system is able to continuously monitor cell or monobloc voltage, impedance, temperature and also string current.
Such detailed information allows the total management of the system to increase reliability, extend operating life and greatly improve Health and Safety; with the potential to substantially reduce costs.

Provision of UPS systems
To complete our range for the protection of critical business systems we also supply Dual Conversion UPS, often with extended autonomy times, for the protection of smaller business systems.

Service is at the heart of our business and Mark is responsible for the operation of a professional and effective service team. Mark came to ABC from Cosworth where he was a Formula 1 engine builder. Race engine building requires quality, discipline and precision all of which Mark strives to apply in our service operations.

Coming to ABC from an environmental monitoring background David spent time at Powershield in Auckland, New Zealand prior to launching our marketing campaign in Europe. David is fluent in both French and German which greatly facilitates communication with our European partners

Advanced Battery Care has been assessed by the Electrical Contractors Association to undertake Design, Installation, Inspection & Testing, Maintenance of Electrical Installations to BS7671 in Industrial and Commercial Premises.
The ECA are also able to provide a guarantee of the quality of our work where required.
All of our engineers are 17th Edition qualified.
